When I first started this book, I thought, no, this one's not my type at all. Too light, too silly, too many women who were acting in a ridiculous manner. But the book had come highly recommended to me so I wanted to give it a chance. And it didn't take long for me to become caught up in this sometimes shocking tale.
Liane Moriarty knows how to build up a story. She started off light but kept digging deeper and deeper into her characters, exposing their secrets. She created characters that were relatable and touched on sensitive issues, such as bullying and abuse. I grew to care about the three main women characters and suffered and rejoiced right along with them. I never saw the surprise end coming.
A very good book by an author who I will be reading more of.
